Ethics

Pupils explore how personal values influence the choices people make about money, especially when it is not possible to help everyone. They learn that money can reflect what we care about and that values guide decisions. Using real world examples and ethical dilemmas, pupils consider how difficult choices are made when resources are limited. Through discussion and group activities, children practise explaining and justifying decisions while recognising that there may be no single right answer.

PSHE:

This lesson supports PSHE Economic Wellbeing objectives L19, L20, L4 and L7 by helping pupils understand that financial decisions are influenced by personal values, recognise that limited resources require prioritisation and trade offs, explore responsibility and contribution within a community, and develop respectful discussion skills when considering different viewpoints about how money should be used.
