In this lesson, pupils explore what it means to borrow and return, and why fairness matters when using something that belongs to someone else. They learn that borrowing means taking care of an item and giving it back, and that failing to return or look after something can cause problems. Through discussion and simple scenarios, children consider how their choices affect others and begin to understand responsibility, consequences, and fair behaviour.

PSHE:

This lesson supports PSHE objectives L3, R21 and R30 by developing pupils’ understanding of responsibility, trust and the emotional impact of choices when borrowing. Pupils explore how borrowing affects relationships, fairness and wellbeing, and identify when to seek help if a situation feels uncomfortable or unsafe.
