Budgeting
In this lesson, pupils explore what to do when they cannot afford everything they want. They learn that making a choice sometimes means not buying something straight away and are introduced to the idea of saving for later. Through practical activities using tokens, children experience how limited money requires careful decisions and begin to understand that waiting and saving can help them reach a goal in the future.

This lesson supports PSHE objectives L11 and L12 by exploring how choices affect relationships, fairness and trust within families and wider social contexts, and by reinforcing understanding of personal boundaries and the importance of seeking support from a trusted adult when a situation feels uncomfortable or unfair.
