IN THIS LESSON
In this lesson students explore how modern entrepreneurs use technology to solve real world problems and create new forms of digital wealth. They begin by analysing well known companies to identify the common thread of using innovation to meet everyday needs. Through discussion they consider how digital products scale quickly, operate globally and generate value in ways that differ from traditional businesses.
Students then examine examples of tech entrepreneurship and match innovators to the problems their solutions address. This helps them understand how technology can widen or reduce inequality depending on how it is designed and who benefits from it. Using research tasks, students investigate a chosen entrepreneur in depth, focusing on the problem they solved, the technology they built, how value is created and the ethical implications of their work.
By the end students can explain how digital wealth is created, recognise the social impact of technological innovation and evaluate the balance between opportunity, fairness and responsibility in modern entrepreneurship.
