IN THIS LESSON

In this lesson students will explore how different post-Year 11 pathways shape both their day-to-day finances and their long-term opportunities, comparing college, apprenticeships and full-time work using realistic income and cost scenarios . They will build monthly budgets, navigate surprise life events and track how net income, support available and personal choices affect financial stability and wellbeing. Students will also analyse five-year projections to see how debt, savings and career progression influence future independence and earning power. By the end they gain a grounded understanding of how early decisions can shape long-term financial outcomes and what to consider when choosing their next step.
