Year 11
IN THIS LESSON
In this lesson students will explore how to stay in control of their money in an online world deliberately engineered to encourage spending, borrowing and risky clicks . They will learn to spot scams, misleading adverts and influencer tactics, unpack how buy-now-pay-later and micro-payments feed the debt cycle, and investigate how online habits can quietly drain their budget. Through scenarios and a personal Risk Radar activity, students will analyse the pressures that shape digital spending and identify practical actions to protect themselves. By the end they understand how to stay financially resilient, make safer choices online and avoid the traps that lead to stress and debt.
